Unhappy Indoor free location (evening)..help! - 01-03-2011, 10:24 PM

Seriously need help finding a nice, free, well lit, indoor location somewhere in DFW. I have a family in the states from Italy with a new baby along with a WNBA champion and another friend. All 3 girls I went to high school with....... and they have been working so hard to coordinate a trip at the same time in order to get photos taken together. The shoot is this Thursday around 5:30-6pm. Ugh.... anyone know of any places or at this rate...A PLACE?

Thank you for your help!!

Would a studio work? IF so, Studio Arlington rents by the hour, and if it has to be free, a case of diet coke might get you in my place :)

Janice: Pretty sure they are staying with family. Not sure that would work.

David: HA! :)

Has anyone shot at The Gaylord in the evening recently?? At this point that is looking like my best option.... Just not sure what their lighting is like at night.

First of all I don't get it. They have spent hundreds if not thousands of dollars to be in the same place at the same time and they are not willing to go another $50 if needed.

If it has to be FREE then why not the obvious? The home where they are staying.

Indoor with good light. Gaylord might or might not work. I find that usually their lighting is more moody in the evening. Don't know what camera you are shooting with.
Ask about where they are staying, where is the home located, what type of home is it. It might be the perfect location! You can always move lamps around to give more light.

Well, money wise....I'm just trying to not have to request more money from these girls.

As far as "home" locations it's not my favorite solution. But I will ask them.

Thanks.

Indoor because it's in the evening. Need a well lit location. I have a ton of great outdoor daytime locations but that's not feasible.

Having a truly well lit indoor space is hard, unless it's a studio with studio light. Even a 'well lit' spot is going to have weird color casts and directionality with the available lights. What you need is some OCF and then you can pick whatever indoor location you want.
