Brandi Thompson would probably know. We have barn/fences galore out here in the country but it's the opposite side of DFW where we are. My guess is to drive around the smaller towns / outskirts of towns outside McKinney?? just a guess.

Bella Pop- I'm in the "opposite side" of DFW.... where can I find said barns/fences? :) I'm new to the area and I could probably waste ten tanks of gas aimlessly driving around. lol.

Hi yes in Weatherford. It just seems to me that the further west (or away from the city) the more chance of finding barns / fences. I see them randomly when driving about. Most are going to be private property though - my mom just shot at one between Granbury and Weatherford at my cousin's place. It really just depends but requires scouting. I wish knew exactly where but it's not something I usually shoot with. You might look into some of the wedding venues that have barns - they would probably allow shooting there with a small fee. Rambling Oaks Ranch in Granbury is one! :)

There are several old barns (even a couple HUGE chicken farm) north of 380 off of 289. No idea who to talk to about using them...

There is a nice white wooden fence on FM 1385 north of FM 428. It is on the east side of the road. There is a barn as well, but I don't know who you would contact to get permission. Hope this helps.

Nash Farm in Grapevine, is a pretty cool place to shoot. They've got a big red barn, a farm house, tractors and some hay bales and a white picket fence...

These aren't my pictures, but here is a picture of the barn:
