Engagement Session at Rangers Ballpark? - 03-28-2011, 04:22 PM

I have a couple requesting their engagement session at the Rangers Ballpark. I'm sure they have strict rules on this. Anyone have experience doing a session there?

Thanks!

They want to be in the ballpark? That's probably trickier...

There is public park right next to the ballpark.. would be simple to shoot with the stadium in the background.

Yeah, they're big baseball fans. I'm going to call on Thursday and see. On the Ranger website, it says they have public tours for $10, but maybe we can pay it and wander off on our own? Doubt it, but I'll ask anyway.

If it's a no-go, maybe we can try the park next to it, like you suggested. I'm not familiar with Arlington, and I haven't been to a Ranger game in two years... Do you know the name of that public park?

You can rent Minute Maid Park in Houston for like $200 for an hour.

Hmm.. well that gives me an idea at least. Thanks! Hopefully Ranger Stadium will be a little less. They're Ranger fans and the couple and I both live in the Dallas area.

Anyone have any experience with Ranger Stadium?

The park is Richard Greene Linear park.. wedged between The Ballpark in Arlington, Cowboy's Stadium, and the Arlington Convention Center. There is a lake at one end named for famous Ranger broadcaster Mark Holtz.

The Caelum Moor stones that used to be where the Lowe's on I20 is now have been planted in the park:

Oh, and if they are big baseball fans and not necessarily Rangers fans... I'll bet I could pull some strings to get them access to Quick Trip Park where the Grand Prairie Air Hogs play:

Thanks so much for all the info, Brad! I'm supposed to speak with her this weekend about her session. I will ask about Quick Trip Park to see what she thinks. I really appreciate it!

They charge $300 if you want to gain limited access to the field and dugouts.
