Southlake Fireworks location

I have been going to the Southlake fireworks display for several years. This year I plan to take my camera gear and try to get some fireworks shots. Of all the different locations we have been, I don't remember any of them that are completely dark during the fireworks. There are always street or parking lot lights.

My question: Does anyone have a favored location with minimal distracting light that would be good for taking fireworks pictures? I suppose that the top floor of one of the parking garages would be the best location. I don't really want to get there in the morning to stake out my spot though. Any and all suggestions appreciated.

If anyone is interested, The fireworks are shot off of the West Garage roof. I went to the East garage only a few minutes prior to the fireworks and was able to stake out a great spot for taking pictures.

I saw some pictures that someone else took of the Grapevine fireworks. They shoot them over the lake so there is some opportunity to get reflections. Plus there are a lot of boats out in the lake. Most of the boats have some lights on which might add to the interest. I think I'll try to go there next year. At least I have a year to find a good spot!
