Hello everyone, I've been on here for a short time and have been looking for a western/country feel location and I accidentally found this cool little ranch in McKinney. As everyone knows it's always tough finding good locations to shoot but I stumbled onto the Storybook Ranch while looking for a place to dove hunt:)
Not sure if anyone has done a shoot there but it's super cool with several bldgs; from a chapel, saloon, jail, wagons, to horses, etc. I called to ask about their photography opportunities and made a quick visit today and they gave me the tour...very nice folks and place. Found out that their rate is 300 for 2hrs. They can block off the area so you pretty much have it dedicated to your shoot. They have just renovated and trying to get the word out to photographers so I don't think many folks know about this place.
I also got to meet the owner and he mentioned that if there was a group of photographers that requested regular shoots there they could possibly swing a better deal. I'm looking to do regular shoots there but wanted to know if anyone else would be interested. If you are mssg me and I can call the owner and see what kind of deal he can workout for us. We can also go back as a group and take a tour to see what everyone thinks.
Anyway, Jessie gave me the tour and said we can use the facilities inside and out. The site photos don't do this place justice...I took the tour inside most of the buildings and it's super cool. Oh and here's a video of some photoshoots and video production that has taken there.
