This site has a lot of construction going on right now... so the view is blocked by two very large cranes. You'll have to find another spot until further notice.

The parking Garage listed above is at the corner of Beckly and Colorado Ave. The fee typically is $1.00.

I take the first exit once you cross the trinity and park in some abandoned industrial lots... walk to the trinity river berm on the north side of IH30 and theres a good spot.

Um, I don't know how to tell you exactly, but here is a screenie of googlemaps. Basically, exit Beckley and find some place to park... the area is a little shady (Oak Cliff) so just be aware of surroundings or take someone with you, especially for the night shot. Me and a friend went right before sundown, took pics at sundown and it got dark quick so it made that possible. Some hiking involved to get up the initial Trinity berm/levee wall and sometimes a small creek to jump over (although it's so dry now it shouldn't matter.)

Last time I made it over to Dallas, I found what i thought to be a fairly promising spot for a east-facing skyline shot. It was a parking garage right off the exit ramp/frontage rd on the west side of Stemmons Fwy (southbound side). There is a 4-5 level parking garage that is directly opposite of AA Center.... if I had not been with the wife and kids, I would have gone on in and tried a shot, but the place turned out to be a halfway house complex (apartments) for recently released convicts. Obviously I was not about to park there and leave the family in the car while I hiked over to the top wall to get a close-range skyline shot, but perhaps by myself or in company of a bouncer/bodyguard friend I might attempt it. If anyone does try, be sure to post the results.

This is an excellent view as long as you are not going during nighttime (A lot of drinkers). Some other's have done this shot when we had the floods but in my opinion that was really the only time this shot was really BEAUTIFUL

It's been ages since I've been there, but the North Campus research towers at UT Southwestern have lounges on each floor that face downtown with full floor to ceiling windows.

Hey, found a new site for Dallas skyline shots! It is an 8-story garage on the corner of Inwood and Irving Blvd. The building houses a bank, so there is public parking in the lower level along with elevators to the top., and I did not see any security when I was there on a Sunday morning with the bank closed. Best angle would be from the south-west corner of the top floor, on the street side of the heli-pad. I didnt have my camera with me then, or I'd post one.
