Question Indoor Photoshoots - 02-09-2009, 01:31 PM

Can anyone recommend anywhere in the Frisco/Plano/McKinney area to do indoor portraits of children? I usually shoot outdoors and the winter weather can put a damper on things with the little ones. Thanks for any suggestions.

Why don't you find a location in one of the Malls? Some have excellent lighting overhead through skylights.

Malls are notorious for not allowing photography of any sort.

Probably an insane suggestion, but have you considered renting a real studio like a real photographer.

Since the poster usually shoots outdoors, it sounds like she doesn't want that "in studio" look. Some "real photographers" like the challenge of shooting outdoors.

I do agree with the Cotton Mill. It's a really neat location with lots of potential. The only catch is they charge.

I would suggest doing portraits in their homes, they could be in their own environment (more comfortable) and have even more memories associated because of the "stuff" or the place they are in. You might need to get into lighting a bit, if you usually do available light since it might not always work indoors, but just one off camera flash can make a big difference.
