I'm going to do some fun bridal portraits in Downtown Dallas, but I've never really shot down there, is it really that dangerous? Should my husband come with us Where are all the cool stuff, which streets, I know where Baylor hospital is and I remember passing some bars, do you think it would be safe enough just to get out and walk around and explore or no?

In the daytime you should be completely fine. Even at night, you should be fine. But to be safe it can't hurt to have someone around to watch your gear. Id be more concerned about someone trying to grab a camera bag than actually trying to harm me.

most of the colored walls & graffitti have been torn down. the tunnel is no longer there. there are still some brightly colored walls & doors. its still a great location for shooting. commerce, elm & main are the 3 streets where you want to wander. good luck!

There are a few of walls done by Sour Grapes around Dallas. One is in Bishop square by Bishop St and a couple more on Westmoreland near Bickers in west dallas but the westmoreland location has grass in front of it because it is on a side wall. I am sure there are a lot more around still. These were all painted or repainted in the last year or two and are still there for sure.
