The stone connection works. We don't often see large format photos shot wide open. I like it.

Mamiya TLR
Lens & Exposure long forgotten.

Well, besides those textures, you have lots of windows in that last photo. So here's one that relates to that.
I know it was taken with my Olympus OM1n, but it's from 1979, so I can't tell you what film or lens (but I'm guessing just a 50mm).
The date on it is from when I actually made a print from it, and not when I shot it. I've quit using a watermark with a date on it for that reason, because I'm printing as many old negatives as new ones these days.

Tom,
Great picture! Did you glue the cat in place? Kidding.
I'm glad we got to windows. I've got a ton of them. First up, St. Mary's Catholic Church in Plantersville. Probably the second time I visited the church, 2007 maybe? Pentax 6x7 and 45mm lens. Fujicolor Reala 100.

Sorry, I just found this thread, so I'm still stuck on the original photo and am not quite caught up with the stream of consciousness ...

I'm glad you found us David! rope & windows. Fits well enough for me.
Next up; one of my all time favorite photos. I waited for several minutes while the grasshopper crawled up the wet window. By the time I advanced the film for another photo, the grasshopper was gone.

Interesting relationship between the last two photos. Those lines on the window really kinda look like the rope. Nice.
