Melissa,

I understand. There's nothing in the chemicals that can get out of a properly sealed storage bottle that will harm you or your apartment. Look forward to the day when you can proudly say, "I did it all by myself."

Someday, baby steps though... if one of you guys lived closer I'd ask for you to show me your process, it would be nice to not have to wait 2 weeks on Walmart to send out my film and develop it.

Ok, finally got back my first roll of film. I tended to overexpose, but I'm surprised at how much detail I was still able to recover. I think I figured out how much to advance the film now too. I'm going to try a black and white roll next.

Are you using a hand held meter, or estimating?

Keep in mind the f16 rule.

I will mention that the f16 rule has always run a little hot for me.

Over exposure is better that under exposure, on print film.

They look good. You should be able to darken them after you scan them.

overexposing by +1/2 to +2/3 stop then toning down in post is a good method. You can get some really good saturation this way. Be careful with some films though, you get crossed color curves and muddy skies that don't correct very will
