Ask at the large format forum. There are several current and former Norma & P2 users there. both get favorable reviews. The Norma is old. Possibly not in the best of condition as a result. There is a Norma in Longview.

Richard Ritter's 8x10 will weigh about half as much. Maybe less. There is one in Dallas.

Good luck.

Igor had a rebuilt NORMA with 2 bellows, 3 rails, but just got an email its on hold pending payment and Jack Flesher is offering me a deal on his 8k click 1DsMkIII with extra battery and RRS 'L' bracket.

Too many choices...

8x10 cameras are easier to come by than clean low mileage almost new DSLRs. There is a Rittreck 4x5 AND 5x7 camera for sale right now for a lot less than I paid for my 4x5 only camera.

Send Ken Lee a PM at Large Format Forum. I think he owns a Sinar P. He will give you the straight scoop.

Went with the Darkside. Jack's 1DsMkIII will be here Thursday and it has had the Canon auto focus upgrade. Expect a hand raised 5D to be up in B&S shortly.

Got to get to work on my Mac Pro upgrade...
