I have a mamiya 645 1000s with 3 lenses and a power winder

I don't carry my mamiya 645 enough because it's too big... should I sell it and get a super ikonta and tons of film instead?? I want portability...

OR

should I just save money for a super ikonta b??

or

should i just be happy with my yashica 124 mat??

just wanted other opinions on this...

Westley Clavey has a really nice Fuji 645 rangefinder. Ask him about it. Small. Light. Moderate wide angle lens. Realy nice. Not expensive as I recall. He'll be along to crow about it.

You could probably even see it up close and personal.

Or. Buy the 6x9 Bessa II with Heliar lans listed for sale at the Rangefinder forum.

The Yashicamat is pretty portable. You are getting advice over on apug to not sell the Mamiya and I would concur with that - unless - you are sure you're never going to use it again. Bottom line: your decision, not ours.

I would second the Fuji for "portability". I have the 645S. The lens is a 60mm, about equal to a 35mm on 35mm! Sharpest lens I own if you are into that sort of thing. I also have a Mamiya 645, Mamiya twin lens, and an RB67. Use them all, but the Fuji is for travel. The twin lens is actually for "carrying", since it is a lot lighter than either of the SLRs. I can put the body and three lenses in a small backback and it weighs much less than the SLRs.
