I guess the one word that sums it up is "cute."

I find them a little intriguing, but I can't see myself getting one. 8x11 film is hard to find and difficult to get developed unless you do it yourself. The compactness of my Olympus XA seems negate the primary advantage.

Overall, I am starting to lean to the other direction.... medium format.

Minox 8x11 PREPAID PROCESSING MAILERS
and FILM are available at your local Minox Camera Dealer.
097-811 36 Exposure Color Mailer: $ 29.95
097-813 30 Exposure Color Mailer: $ 29.95
Film develop only: $ 10.00
Prepaid mailers that are Red or Blue from 1970 require additional $ 20.00 payment per film.

Exposed film can also be sent to Minox Processing Laboratories together with a payment to buy a mailer. Include a check or account number with expiration date for American Express, MasterCard or Visa and your request to purchase a mailer for each exposed film.
The mailer(s) will then be used to process your exposed film. Your film will be developed, printed and returned to the address you provide. (Additional Postage is required outside of the USA)

ONE Minox 8x11 High Resolution 40 megabyte Tif:
(3000 x 4500 Pixels) from a single Minox 8x11 exposure of any film type to CD: $27.00. Up to 9 additional images can be added to the same CD at the same time at $16.00 per frame
New York State residents must include local sales tax on each item including the postage charge.
