Need help on developing kodak film 125px - 01-22-2010, 10:31 PM

hello, my name is Marcos. I started to do own developing a few weeks ago and I've been using ilford chemicals. (ilfosol 3,ilfostop and rapid fixer) and I've been using ilford delta 100. Everything is working out fine. I developed a roll of film its Kodak 100tmax with the same chemicals. The only different is that i have to shorten the developing time from 6 minutes to 5 1/2 minutes. A few days ago i bought a roll of Kodak 125px and I'm ready to develop it and i don't want to mess it up but i can't find any info to how to develop the film on the internet. Can somebody please help me out with this problem?

thank you, Marcos

P.S. here is some of the photos i developed in the past week.

Cool Plus-X in Kodak chemicals - 01-22-2010, 10:58 PM

I have had very good results from Plus-X in either D-76 1:1 or Xtol 1:3 or Rodinal 1:50. Times according to Kodak or Agfa.

Good luck.

Plus-X in Xtol 1:3.

D-76 1:1 or Rodinal. Too long ago to know. Plus-X for sure.

I don't know Valerie. I always start with the information published by the folks who made the film and the chemicals. I guess I'm weird that way.

ps: 5 1/2 minutes is kinda short. Bad things can happen. I have better luck changing things to get my time up to 10-12 minutes.

Kodak Plus-X, and it's re-labled twin Arista Premium 100, has been around forever. There is probably too much information available. It's everywhere. Good luck.

Both Kodak and Ilford have the data for their products on their websites. Ilford is very "generous" in providing recommended times for other makers' films in their developers and their films in others' developers. The Ilford site also has basic beginning instruction for developing film and basic printing.

Welcome to the ILFORD PHOTO Website

Go to "Products", then "Catalogue", then when you get to the product you want, go to the "Fact sheet".
