Rodenstock slide-rule LF calculator

Has anyone used one of these? I'm getting one as part of a bundled deal on Zone VI Pentax digital spot meter.

It supposedly helps the LF shoter to calculate DoF's and Scheimpflug.

I'm curious how well it works for calculating tilts. What's the other item there, is that a viewfinder? If so what formats/ratios does it support?

Focusing Loupe. Probably a 3.6X.

OK, I thought it looked a little too simplistic for a viewfinder but didn't know what else it could be.

I carry a regular loupe.

Next time someone has a 4X5 out, you need to look through it.
The loupe is a necessity as far as I'm concerned.

I've looked through a 4x5 (either yours or Wes's, I can't remember). I can see how a loupe would make focusing easier.

I actually use a Hoodman Loupe when shooting sometimes. It doesn't magnify (doesn't need to, live-view does that ) but it keeps the sun off the screen. More conventient than a dark-cloth.

Live-view, like actually looking through the camera, or the digital representation on a tiny screen.

My live-view is 4X5 inches...

3x Toyo loupe.

Schneider makes some Rolls Royce loupes all the way up to 10x.
