In addition to the 2 Mamiya TLRs and the Bronica 6x6 kit, I also have an Agfa 6x6 folder (currently on loan to Melissa M) and a Fuji GS645S MF RF with the 60mm lens - - very sharp. Like John says, it is a nice camera for carrying around!

Oops. And our Brownies!

I try to limit conversation to real cameras.

Ouch!

Whenever I see a thread like this, I start thinking of selling my Mamiya c220 Professional that I never use, since I've got my Mamiya 6. I start feeling bad that it's not at a better home with someone that will use it more. So if you're interested Marcos, I'd sell it to you with the lens for $200. Sounds like you might make a better home for it.
It's got an interchangeable lens system, so you could expand it from there. Here is a picture of the camera, and also a quick scan of the last photo taken with it, which is a totally unedited tiff saved as a jpeg. As you can see, it takes 6x6 square negatives, just like a Hasselblad. But for much less money.

^^^^ My first medium format camera. I carried it all over Europe for a year. I never did get any other lenses. The normal lens was great. I've been scanning my negatives from that camera made in 1969. Wonderful wonderful negatives. Sold the camera for a Nikon F Photomic. That was either the smartest or the dumbest thing I've ever done.

The camera in the picture does not have the normal lens on it. You might want to check the availability and price of a 80mm f 2.8.

Hey, I actually got to take pictures of snow yesterday in College Station. Four rolls of 35mm and two sheets of 8x10. All gone now except the melting snowmen . . . hundreds of them on campus.

Hank

Using KEH for a guide, a black 80mm in EX condition goes for about $150, while a black 135mm in EX condition only goes for $100 (no front or rear caps on either... add ~$10 for the caps).

I'm pleased, however, to see that a black 55mm in EX condition has dropped below $200... That is the last lens I need to complete the kit I want for the TLRs...

Why would that be a problem? Do you actually want pictures on the film or something?

Heck, if there's nothing on it, there's no chance of screwing something up. Besides, you get to work with the lights on.

How not too expensive? You can pick up Brownies, Agfa Isolettes or various box cameras at flea markets, garage sales and on eBay for next to nothing, and part of the fun is working with the constraints of the camera. If you can find some of the old Polaroid rollfilm cameras, they can be converted pretty easily, with results ranging from Holga-ish to pretty darn good.

Of course, there's always the Holga itself; the camera with a built-in excuse.

Then, if you're really feeling industrious, the lack of a stop or counter mechanism in the film transport makes 120 cameras easier to build than 35mm.

Find one of these, they are cheap, superb quality, and great lenses. I have an LM.
