Color film local processors/printers

I've tried CVS, Walgreen's, Costco, as well as other dept/drug store film processors/printers with terrible results.

Where in Fort Worth are there good labs who will do a good job??

I know it's not local to you, but they will handle mail in (I've mainly had them do slides)

Armadillo camera in Lubbock

They do an excellent job.

Thanks but I prefer a shop that I can walk into and inspect the photos before paying. That way at least if they are not up to my specs I can have them reprinted..

I typically don't get prints, but what i've found is that the above places you mention don't clean (either change or filter) their chemical tanks, and so the negatives I get back to scan are so filthy that its hard to clean them up.

That is one of my complaints about these places. My negative come back with a hard to clean off residue that usually shows up on the scanned image..

I tend to get better prints from Ritz Camera. The paper and print are higher quality than CVS. If printing from negatives they sometimes adjust the color or exposure correctly.

There is also the option of scanning at home and printing from a digital file.
