Pentax MG - 05-24-2010, 02:57 PM

I was just handed a Pentax MG kit complete with 35mm lens, 80-200 zoom lens, flash and couple other small accessories. The camera looks practically brand new and without putting film in it, seems to be fully functioning.

So a quick google search turns up what looks like a production date of 1981-84 and k-mount lenses. I think read that is has aperture priority mode but not full manual.

Anything else anyone can tell me about this camera? I haven't shot film since the early 90's when I took a photo class.

looks like one of the many pentax entry level SLR's. No manual mode. Probobly a descent camera.

The K1000 is still my favorite pentax body.

I have one and shot with it for several years before I bought my Canon Elan IIE. Then I went over to the dark side. I may be able to find my old owner's manual. If I do, I have a scanner and can copy it and email it to you if you are interested. Let me know.

PS. K-1000 was a beast. I sold mine a couple of years ago because I just don't shoot film anymore. I'll make someone a really good deal on my old MG. Really good. Comes with a 50mm f/2.0 I think.
