oh no. - 08-04-2010, 09:10 PM

No no no.

I thought I had rid myself of all things that drive me nuts. Ie all my photo stuff save for a few 35mm film bodies, my d300 and ONE - yes, ONE lens.
(mostly cause I am a lousy, no-eye-for-it, "photographer" )

then for some dumb reason I looked on craigslist..

In one swoop, at two places within 1/2 mile of each other...

for $175 : A Mamiya 645J, with an 80mm f2.8 C, a 110mm 2.8 C, 3 Macro extension rings, cds prism finder, waist level finder, several focusing screens, 120 and 220 film holder. All in decent to very good condition.

for $100 a well used Pentax 6x7 Body.

for $50 a Minolta Dual III 35mm scanner....

Not to mention dropping off some Extar color film at cvs..
and so it begins again.

film scanner results:

Thanks :)
Just got back from Paducah, Ky.
Son got married.
A lot of view camera images could be made there! I actually refused to shoot some nice archtecture, since I knew I could not make a "proper" image!! lol.

Wayne, I still have the enlarger and all darkroom stuff :)

Now have several rolls of film, color and B&W, to get developed. Then I will know if the Mamiya and lenses are working. Hope so. 2 shots were of a WWII Navy vet I approached and took pics of.

I guess I should pay attention to craigslist. NOT!
Why did you buy a Pentax 6x7 body? Got any lenses? Be careful of the light seals. Mine needed replacing. I discovered AFTER the return period expired on an ebay purchase.

Why buy the 6x7 ?

it was just sooo hard to walk away from it... they do make for a good landscape camera.
It will need resealing, for sure on the door. somewhere in my hoarders mess, is whats left of a resealing foam kit. if not, will have to get another kit.
I am in no hurry to get a lens though.

Decided to get a new Monitor, a 23" viewsonic lcd photo monitor to replace my old crt.

dropped off my film today, will have it back on friday. Wanted to develop the B&W, but my chemicals are old, so cheaper to find out if the camera works, via BWC, plus 2 rolls were color.

The Colorado photos were taken with my firsst P-6x7 & 105mm lens. I have the 45mm lens. I would dearly love to have the last version of the 55mm lens. I'm keeping the P-67 & 45mm lens because I can't afford a 50mm for the Hassy. I can't afford any Hassy lenses so I'll keep the P-67 and 45-105-150 lenses.

Gruene Hall, 45mm lens, HP5+

Mr. Gruene's Office, 45mm, PanF+. You can read the phone number on the sticker on the door.

Santa Fe BBQ, Santa Fe, TX. 45mm, square crop of Velvia original.

St. Mary's Catholic Church. 45mm, Fuji Reala, diptych.

The lens is a keep for sure.

I also have a pinhole body cap. I could loan it to you until you find a lens. Get you started.

Pinhole.

Thank you.

It's an off the shelf item. A regular body cap with a plate that has the pinhole drilled in it. I'll dig out the spec sheet tonight.
I don't know what the actual nomenclature is, I just know the 55mm from photos.

Like this.......

The last 55mm listed in this table, with 8 elements. KEH should have some.

Pentax 67 Lens Guide

GOOD Grief! LN- at KEH for $299. That is a STEAL!
