Ektar 1000 from 1994

Just got a free roll of Ektar ASA 1000 film from 1994, still sealed in the canister. How should i expose this? +2 stops?

So you don't think I should shoot these four rolls of kodachrome I have... that are only 25+years old?


I've never had issues old film, but I've never used film this old before.

Film is organic.

If it has been frozen, it will be fine.

If not, you are probably wasting your time and money.

I would expose it all at once and throw it away.

That being said, here is my suggestion for you.


Overexpose fogged film???

Does not sound right.

I would think under expose. But that is just a guess.

I would also tend toward contrasty scenes.
