I am not sure why he doesn't just do all of the photo process from inside the trailer -- seems that there is enough room in there, and it would be easier then trying to climb out through the chute to remove the lens cap and then climb back in to seal up the photo paper.
On a side note -- while not as physical a process, I wonder if someone has ever thought of taking a fifth wheel with one of the slide outs and using the slide out process to focus the lens -- it would require light sealing the fifth wheel, but I would think it could be done.

Slide out lens board. That could work. Shop carefully, and you might find a trailer with slide outs opposite each other. One for the lens and one for the recording media. I haven't seen very many 8'-10' F.L. lenses lately. That's just silly.
I guess the definition of "Full frame" has been raised. 20"x24" is now a cropped format, hey?

Aren't there pop-ups with sides that you crank in & out? Drape the inside with a "bag" made from black-out cloth (like I use to make my darkroom); mount a lens or pinhole on one wall, sealed into the blackout bag; and the "film holder" on the opposite wall; and crank the sides in & out to focus (if needed). They would both move, so composing will not be completely trivial, but it can't be with his trailer, either.

I welcome comments on any picture I post... Thanks. Tripod - (n., archaic.) 1. Image stabilization

That dude is deep. I wish that I could be as fulfilled creatively as some of these people.

Blackout cloth "tent" between lens and paper. Or a Mammoth Plate? Wet naturally. Those things were small. Perhaps only 18"x22". Things to do if you're retied and your honey do list is up to date.

Yikes! I just watched the video. He's working in color! He really has gone out of his way to make it difficult.
