It needs a little spotting.

Thanks Wes,
This is the best out of the two subjects I tried.
The other had some flare issues.

Way cool. I am very envious of the 6x17 work I see on the internet. Keep them coming.

If you haven't seen these already... Please show your 6x17 pictures - Large Format Photography Forum
Sorry for that. After a page or two of good images, it degenerates rapidly. This is more appropriate. http://www.largeformatphotography.in...ad.php?t=69756

If you can find a way to enlarge it, I'll spot you some roll paper to print on.

Nice one Kevin. I think you'll have fun with the pano format, it's always nice to tryin something a little different. I want to take look at the ground glass on that setup, must be nice to actually see your composition while shooting a pano, that's one area where stitching with digital comes up short.

If you cut one of your negs in half long way, you will be close.
Neg is ~2 1/4 x 6 3/4.

I think it will have its uses.
The GG starts to get dark on the edges.
If I keep it very long that will have to change.

5x7 cameras readily accept 6x17 hardware. Or just crop 5x7. 5 minutes with some chartpak tape will make a 6x17 frame on your ground glass. Piece of cake.

Piece of cake. | Unfortunately, it is not roll film... it is still 5x7 film with a 6x17 strip down the middle. Roll film is easier to develop and easier to buy in a larger array of emulsions & speeds.
And while I am not suggesting that 6x9 has nearly the impact of 6x17, and I certainly cannot contact print 6x9 like I could with 5x7 or (barely) with 4x5, I have much more processing consistency with 120 or 220. In addition, I really like the 2:3 aspect ration of the 6x9. Also, I crop a lot of other pictures to the 6x12 or 6x17 aspect ratio (...I have both set up as choices in my cropping presets).
Personally, it is 6x9 roll film and aspirations of 6x12 that keep me interested in shooting LF, right now.
Of course, YMMV...

Cropping 5x7 as a way for a person to decide if they really want to spring for the $1,200+ Canham 6x7 roll film holder? $1,200 buys a LOT of 5x7 film. AND. With a cut down darkslide a person could get 2 6x17 images on a single sheet of 5x7 film. The same applies to a cutdown 4x5 slide and 6x12.
Think outside the box. MMDV.
