E-6 is quite a bit more. something in the $8/roll neighborhood. Prices from memory. Always risky. I haven't done that yet. Quote:

Again, it may have just been whoever was working that didn't know what they were talking about. I'll check, but for now I really don't mind spending extra to have AZ develop my color film. I shoot so little of it that the expense isn't that big of a deal. | It's possible that the film drop box is gone. Sam's Club on West Road jerked there's out. Look for the box near the check out counter/register in photo. With a supply of envelopes. This calls for a You Tube video.

Hey Anthony,
I'm a bit late to this thread. Thought I'd add a few comments. First, I've used AZ Photo Lab. They're a bit pricey, but they're fast -- same day service -- and they do a good job. I haven't tried WalMart yet, but I want to. I'd like to shoot a lot more slide film, but $31 for developing a 36-exp 35mm roll and a roll of 220 is a bit steep for my budget.
I'm new to Velvia also, and the stuff I shot most recently was also expired. One roll of 35mm and one roll of 220 so far. I guess the 220 was older because it showed a bit of a magenta cast, which was very easy to correct in software. I note that your images also show a bit of a magenta cast. No big deal nowadays.
A couple things that impressed me a lot about Velvia was the saturation and the grain. The saturation is amazing. And the grain is like nonexistent. Really impressive stuff. All the images I posted over at the Houston Film Crawl thread were shot with Velvia 50. Scroll about 1/4 the way down the page: http://www.texasphotoforum.com/forum...m-crawl-3.html | | | |

I had one, but it was the worst piece of hardware I've ever owned so I got rid of it. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
