The reps from Kodak came back again with PJ Damaso Reyes to talk, with more free stuff for students in hand! I arrived 5 minutes early and got away pretty decently, some folks left the room with a Wal-Mart bag sized container filled with anything from the BW c-41 stuff to Tmax 3200 and the EIR... shouldda got there earlier.

I asked about the new Portra, and while they admitted the general consensus was still out from the folks they ship new stuff to sample, they noted that it'd be more on the NC side of things than anything else, with Ektar filling the VC void. That and no plans for a metallic inkjet paper.

It sure sucks to be a student.
Did they say how much longer they would be bringing samples? Or are they trying to clean out their freezers????????????? Grinning.

Well, they bring us all sorts of expired stuff when they visit to bring lecturers, and it's usually anywhere from 2006-2008 dated, and no idea if it was cold-stored or not. But who the heck cares, free film!
