Velvia 100, mounted slides. I think the slide mounts are keeping the actual slides higher off the glass than the strip holders generally do, and that's probably responsible for at least some of the degradation of sharpness. The ruined colors are another matter.

The one of the car door is the sharpest for sure...

I own an Epson Perfection 4490 and it "gets the job done". The Canoscan 8800 costs a bit more than mine. I don't know the actual specs on mine. I know it scans up to 6x9 though.

yo anthony is that mercedes your daily driver... so hip.. my dad and I have been working on one but it's been in the garage for the past 15 years... still runs but needs a new battery... To bad it's in indiana... maybe I might go back for it some day

Ted, my daily driver only has two wheels but when I need four the Benz does the job.
