Project sorta thing. - 02-18-2011, 02:56 PM

I'm going to run my scanner through its paces with these films. The color processes will all be developed by AZ. I'll do the B&W. I'm going to attempt to shoot a variety of scenes, running as large a gamut of tonal ranges as I possibly can, to see how the scanner responds. I'll probably also get some prints made as well, and see how a print scan compares to a scan of the same frame's negative.

Why? Why not!?

Why is the film just sitting there?

CanoScan 8800F. Nothing special. The real reason is "because I can."

Yeah, so trying to have a "plan" for all of this is just keeping me from the important part. I'm just going to load the film up and go shoot.

Hah, I figured you might like that. My 35mm SLR has a roll of Ektar 100 in it right now.

Changing it up again. Going to give some of the 35mm film to Adrian along with the 35mm SLR. Why not give a newcomer to the film world a proper welcome? Besides, I have everything in 120 also so I'm not really missing out on anything!

Enabler! Hook him good!
The next you know, you'll be letting him handle your TLR.

Well, I took the 35mm Ektar to CVS and got it back good and scratched up. Not too crazy about the results either and I don't know if that's a result of their process or mine. Either way, here are some straight off the scanner @ 2400dpi scans.
