. My last two rolls were dropped off March 23 and returned yesterday. $1M
.82 including tax.
I just spent the better part of an hour of my life attempting to convince the Wal-Mart on S. Grand Parkway of the above to no avail. They were willing to refund the prints and charge me $1.96 for developing a 36-exposure roll of 135 Portra 400NC, but that would have to take place at Customer Service where there were 28 people in line. I spoke to the "area manager" on the phone and was assured that there are no dropbox locations that will develop only (despite, of course, tangible evidence to the contrary from no fewer than three forum members). I was told at the Katy Mills location sports a wet-lab and can do developing only, but they do not do send-off develop only.

Tomorrow, I am expecting a call from the aforementioned manager regarding the location/status of the three rolls of 120 Velvia (2x 100, 1x 50). She's clear that all I want is the developed film in a sleeve. We will see how that turns out, and I will report back accordingly.

I will try Katy Mills next time, since Adam seems to get what he wants from that location. I will not try S. Grand Parkway again.

yeah, kind of a crap shoot, but I've frequented the Katy Mills location enough recently that they know me by now. It seems to help to write in big bold letters "develop and sleeve only", but then again you are at the mercy of whoever is at the Fuji lab.

I think this one will really throw them for a loop. Friday evening I was finishing the last two shots of Reala 100 in the Mamiya 6, and when I went to change the film out, to my shock, amazement and utter disbelief, I realized I had loaded in Kodak Tri-X 400 :( I was pissed and not sure how that happened. Maybe the wine, maybe I was tired, who knows. Anyway, I had been metering for 100 and the only way I thought of salvaging it was to pull process it to 100. Have no idea if that will even work.

Now there was nothing super critical on the roll (just some wandering nature shots) so instead of asking a real lab to do it, I dropped it off at WM in the dropbox with said pull instruction. I'm curious to see what happens. I'll probably get 12 prints with my order :)

Hah! I don't think I've done that one yet, though I did shoot a few frames of Delta 400 thinking I had Delta 100 in the camera once.

Will Fuji even take the B&W film? I'll be interested in how that turns out.

The next rolls of color film I shoot, I'll bring to the Katy Mills location and see how it works out for me.

I've had them do 35mm Neopan 400 and 120 Ilford HP5 400 with no issues.

One more time:
My experience is with 120/220 only.
Special Instructions:
120 (220 if appropriate) C-41 Develop only

That works. 135 C-41 rules are different. They clearly state somewhere in the store that develop only is not offered for 135 film. Word at the RFF is that folks are getting B&W done with the envelopes. The price is higher than C-41. A LOT higher.
CAUTION: Somedbody dropped rolls of 120 C-41 BW400CN off at Walmart. Came back at like $12/roll. Fuji had sent the film to their B&W subcontractor. The explanation: We send all B&W out. Bummer.
I sent one roll of 135 Delta 100 out via Walmart. Once. Never agian. That was when I started doing my own B&W.
Good luck.

Once I get my Bronica repaired I am so going to try that new Portra in 120. Especially now that I know walmart does it for under a dollar a roll.

I've got the new Portra 400 in 135, but Co-op has been out of stock in 120 since it was released. They do have it in 4x5 though (not that it helps me any, yet). There's a bit more left to sell, and the proceeds will go towards film, paper, and chemistry.

ill just buy it online and stick it in the fridge. My wife has finally gotten to where she dosent mind the film in the crisper...or at least she dosent say anything about it anymore.

Gosh I cant wait until my tax money comes back from uncle barakka. My Bronica is going straight to NYC to have a little visit with Dr. Koh of Koh's camera.

No, I did them fairly fast, but there were some issues which required me to mail it in. Then they got mailed back due to another issue. Got that fixed and now their in the mail again.

May be another 4-6 weeks wait for me. Royally Stinks.

just picked up some more rolls from the Katy Mills WM:

120
Fuji Reala 100: $0.84
Kodak 400TX: $1.88

Had two rolls of the Tri-X, one was dropped off 3/26 and the other 4/2. Both came back today. Maybe the Fuji lab outsources the b&w like Wayne said which would explain the delay in getting the 3/26 roll back and the increased cost. But at $1.88 per roll, I'm not complaining.

Sounds like figuring out WM's film processing process could be somebody's graduate thesis project.
