Been shooting 35mm for a while now, and its made me realize how awesome medium format is.
I plan to get my bronica fixed soon, but is there a cheap way I could get my medium format fix until then, or should I just be patient for a couple more months?

Used TLR, especially a good Yashica.

A folder in working order. However, finding a good one that doesn't need a megabucks overhaul is tricky.
Along the Holga lines...a Brownie Hawkeye. That camera was a Holga long before Holga came along.
A nice TLR could make you forget fixing your Bronica.

Well what I really would like is maybe a pentax 67, but Koh is saying I can get my bronica fixed for less than a 67 would cost. I had a Yashicamat 124G...it didnt make me forget my bronica. It was a descent camera but it felt like a toy compared to the Bronica.
I have looked around for a folder, but im not sure what to look for, any suggestions?

I got a little ansco folder from Westley, maybe he has another or knows where to find one. I really need to use that little camera more, it is fun.

How cheap is cheap? Both of the Agfa Isolette cameras, a II and a III, were <$200. They take great photos and are quite pocketable. Certo6 - Vintage Folding Cameras: purchase is where I got the III. The II was from Co-op, and after I broke it I would have sent it to certo6 for repair anyway (and probably still will, one day). There's lots of options there, and I can certainly say that my Isolette III functions perfectly.
That said, my Mamiya C3 is by far my favorite camera. TLR with interchangable lenses that are optically fantastic? Count. Me. In. Plus they just look awesome.

For $200 I would rather fix my Bronica. I think ill just wait. I already have plans for a headshot series of my very extensively large family on portra film with my bronica.

Sorry, my MF cabinet is bare... I have my Bronica S2A kit and my Fuji GS645S and that is it... My Mamiya TLRs are scattered around the world (including some in Anthony's camera bag) and Melissa has my renovated Ansco folder... Oh, and I have my 6x9 back for the Shen Hao 4x5.

Hey Wes, you still have the prism finder for the bronica? I know I had talked about buying from you at one point.

I'm down to just one (...I had 2) so I'll probably keep it.

Well the plan is at this point to get my Bronica fixed. Does anyone know if professional camera repair in houston works on these types of cameras, or am I better off sending it to NYC?

They certainly have their place, the MF folders. It's amusing to me that my go-to pocket camera is now actually a 35mm folder rather than my MF folder. They're both pretty awesome though.
Keep your eyes out for a Pentax 6x7.

Well its been almost two months but I finally got my Bronica back from Jimmy Koh. Man did he ever do a fantastic job! Special thanks to Westley for recommending him. This thing is purring like it was new!
Well, I got my camera, my original Leitz tilt-all, a sekonic handheld meter, and film in the fridge. Its time to get dangerous!
