I LOVE cameras. I always have. Especially old ones. Digital cameras just dont do it for me, feels like a toy. But looking through ground glass, gives me chills.
Post a camera a bygone era that you find extremely fascinating.
Lately ive been intrigued with the Plaubel Makina 67. It is one ugly camera, but everyone who has used one LOVES IT.

When they are working properly. Be afraid.
A nice Rolleiflex TLR with a perfect Zeiss Planar or the Schneider equivalent (which in some cases out performs the Planar) is much more dependable, readily repaired if need be and quite small.
If 6x7 floats your boat, the Pentax 6x7 is a real bargain these days. The lenses are silly cheap and scary good.

Another one I like is the Pentax 645.

I happen to know for a fact that a Pentax 6x7 will make an appearance sooner or later here in the FS section.
As for an old camera that intrigues me: Mamiya TLRs. The interchangeable lenses, the ability to close-focus, and their aesthetic qualities all just make me want to dance a jig. When I bought my C3 it was meant to sit on a shelf and look pretty. In short order it essentially banished my 5D Mark II to its case. I've not shot it as often as I should lately, but school has kept me busy. As such the walk-arounds (Retina IIa, Isolette III) see most of the recent action.

A Rapid Omega 100 was my second MF camera.
A few more desireable goodies...
One of these is mine. The only one left is mine.
Removed photos that aren't mine.

Wayne, you should know I've been looking at 4x5 cameras... Makes no sense to have a 4x5 enlarger with no 4x5 negatives to enlarge. May target July for a more serious look (with actual intent to purchase). | | | |
