I was just about to post this...

So I wonder... is everyone here old or poor? According to the article those are the only ones using it...

Shizzit. I couldn't afford to shoot film!

Is it just me or is 20 million rolls of film (plus the 31 million one-time use cameras) is a lot per year? Seems like a lot of film to me. I guess when you put it against the former 1 billion a year number it isn't, but still.

There's still a market for buggy whips ie; you can still buy buggy whips. They cost a lot more now, fewer factories make them and you can't get one at Walgreen's anymore. But to say they aren't available simply isn't true.

Same for film: The selection will decrease, the places you can get it will decrease and the price you pay will increase.

But there will be film for the foreseeable future. As long as there is demand, there WILL BE supply. At what price is a different but related matter.....

Oh, don't worry. Film was here for a while, digital will be around for a bit, then holographic will take over, and where will all of us digital fanatics be then?
