Anthony, any issues with the tripod in your carry on bag? We are going on a trip to CO next month and I really don't want to check any luggage.

I've never had issues for carry on with either tripod. One is a small Benro but the other was a much larger aluminum one.

Adam, none at all. I will be home on Wednesday if you want to take a look at the tripod to get an idea for its size. It isn't very big at all, but it worked well for what I was doing with it on the few times I actually used it.
