Another Large Format GTG?

Hey Guys,

I'm a photographer dying to learn about Large Format. I saw you guys had a get together earlier this summer but I just moved to Houston. Anyone interested in having another one in Houston or neighboring cities/towns?? I'm totally new with no LF equipment, so experienced large format photographers/people with extra equipment would be awesome. I'm here until August 12 and the next two weekends work well for me. Let me know if anyone's interested!

Raven, I used to have an extra 4x5 camera & lens that I loaned to people who wanted to learn LF, but I sold it about a year ago, so I do not have an extra. I have company in from out of town (WAY out of town) for the next 2-3 weeks, but I could probably convince a few people to go out again for a few hours...that's often the most people can take these days. If nothing else, you can borrow my 4x5 for the day or maybe someone can find a loaner for you.

No, not this weekend - - I am booked solid... then Charles will be home for a few weekends, so it may not be until something like the first or second weekend in August...

And as of right now, Aug. 7 does not work for me anymore. Sorry. I have a portrait shoot scheduled with my grand babies that weekend.

I can do this weekend coming up (July 16-17) or August 7. I figured August 7 gives people some time to plan. Wayne, is it possible to come after the photoshoot? Or we can do this weekend if that works better for everyone.

Also, does anyone have any ideas on where we should meet? I'm new to Houston and I not familiar with many places yet.

Sorry. Both of those weekends are out for me. I'm going home. North of Tyler, TX.
I will be in Houston the weekends of 23-24 & 30-31.
Glenwood Cemetery always seems to work for large format. Earlier, 7am, is better than later.
