Hey there all. Been lurking about here for some time now as I've been working towards getting myself set up to process my own film, and have found this forum very helpful in gathering info, also have appreciated the sense of community and helpfulness to others shown. Hoping now to take a more active (less lurking) part in it.

Hi I'm Curt, and I've just recently developed my first rolls of film, and enlarged a few prints. And wow, really am enjoying the whole experience! I got into photography just over ten years ago shooting digital, and have in the past year felt a need to see what I missed out on not having experienced film. As suspected have found it has helped me to slow down, considering more each exposure which am hoping will help me progress towards overall improvement... also expected would (and do) appreciate the hands on craft of the Darkroom. So hope to be able to draw from the collective experience here to develop my own skills, join in the fun and contribute where I can.

So, here are a few photos from my first effort at developing. Just random shots in various lighting conditions - Im still trying to get a feel for the lack of that instant feedback... also my past experience with black and white has been conversion in post, so also trying to learn how to visualize the scene.

Thanks Lee

That shot was during a quick drive thru right after the fire (wish I'd composed differently utilizing that shadow) ...was back again this past weekend working the area more deliberately (looks the same since no rain) hoping to get a good keeper
