And to threadjack myself again, I did finally make some prints with some of 8x10" fiber paper I was given (among the many other sizes). First of all, the sheets are not flat straight out of the bag. They curl fairly strongly which is annoying to say the least. Secondly, when taken straight out of the bag, fixed, washed, and dried, the white is more eggshell than white. I don't really mind it, especially given the low cost of free. Are those two things indicative of old/expired paper that hasn't been stored in a freezer?

Could just be the paper finish the same as new. Fogged paper that I have developed has been grey. Really grey. The same paper fixed & washed was white. I think you need to develop the paper to know if it is age/heat fogged.

Well, I did print a negative from the other day on it and the borders were the same eggshell color as the straight-into-the-fixer paper. I'll keep using it until it's all gone.

I haven't had a chance to play with it yet. Classes started yesterday and the remodel on classroom/darkroom is not finished. Makes things even more insane than usual. With luck, we will get acquainted later in the week!

That's cool. Don't you hate when work gets in the way of playing with new toys?

Selenium - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The above tells a lot but if u live in Texas ...
Small trace amounts of Selenium applied to insect bites like Chigger
will eliminate the nasty forever lasting red scar bite mark.
I suppose you use this toner on bite marks
but prob better to use that specific brand of dandruff shampoo that contains 0.5 %.

I aint no Doctor but I am a UT Enviromental Chem Grad.
Best if u put it in leak proof container dilluted w water then dig a hole for burial if you are green like me.
This holds for many Darkroom chemicals.
But 99.5% of people would dump down drain.
Even Kodak in Rochester rinsed dumped their color tanks in the Genese River and it turned Freaky colors.
And yes ... darkrooms are days gone for a number of reasons ...
but retro stuff really turns me on ... so does doing it in the dark !
