Where to get 120 processed in Houston? - 09-07-2011, 04:00 PM

On a whim I dug out a box of old photography stuff in my office and found my Lubitel 166 and about a dozen rolls of unexposed BW film. Though I love the flexibility of digital, it was great to load up a roll and shoot slow with no instant results.

Does anyone know if there is a decent place in the Houston West, Southwest, or Sugar Land area to get it processed?

I found my old tanks and a couple of other treasures but didn't want to dive back into hand processing and/or printing quite yet.

Thanks.

I don't know of anywhere on this side of town. Aker Imaging is, in my opinion, your best bet in Houston for processing BW/C-41/E-6 when you need it in a hurry. Otherwise, I drop all of my color films off at Wal-Mart and wait two weeks. I seem to recall reading somewhere that someone has sent B&W off through the Wal-Mart mailers, but I do all of my own B&W processing at home.

Thanks Anthony. I'll take a look at Aker and some mail orders. Of course, I could just break down and get the chemicals and put the old tanks back into use again...decisions.

I'm late but found out Humble Camera does 120 processing as well as 35mm.

Texas Photographics in the Spring Branch/ Memorial area does all my B/W film processing as well as all my custom printing. Not sure if they do C-41 or E-6. They use the safer dip and dunk method as opposed to the machine process.

I use Aker Imaging (formerly AZ lab) and I've always had a good experience.
