Just curious, who processed the film? I've used Kodak Gold 200, and the grain was similar. I figured it was between the WalMart processing and the ISO. I still have another roll, I plan on using some this weekend. This time I'll have it processed at a professional lab.

Quality control may be better at a pro lab. The process is all the same. Kodak Portra and Ektar are so nice. Costs more. Well worth it.
