Wildfire aftermath - 09-20-2011, 12:31 PM

Took the 4x5 over to a friends neighborhood last Sunday to check out some of the wildfire damage in Waller county. Unfortunately it looks like I have a light leak to for on the grafmatic back, but the regular holders worked just fine. Now we just need a better camera operator.

The dark patch of ground in the background is where the firefighters stopped the fire. There's a little more info here.

I have noticed the same problem with my Grafmatic on the Zone VI camera. A bit of stray light from the holder-camera interface. The Grafmatic works fine on the Speed Graphic.

The back doesn't fit like it should, but come to find out that wasn't the main problem. My DIY lensboard was the culprit. Nothing a little gaffer tape didn't fix.
