Any one here own/shoot vintage Voigtlanders? I have a late 60's Bessamatic. Unfortunately, the cocking rack has issues, so I haven't used it for years. I do on occasion look at prices, and in good working condition, they're cheap as chips these days. Almost gets me thinking about shooting some film again.

Even a new Bessa isn't very expensive. I am constantly tempted by them.

I don't know much about the current stuff, other than Ringfoto owns the name and manufactures some Voigtlander stuff in Germany, and Cosina leases the name and manufactures some of it (as well as some of the Zeiss lenses) in Japan. IIRC, the Bessa is a rangefinder?

Medium format or 35mm? They made both.

I shoot two new versions of the Voightlanders...1.4/58 and 2/40 for my D2x...one of the reasons I still have a few Nikons...I love the images they produce...

So I would look at there new line-up...

Beautiful images. My Color Skopar is easily one of the sharpest lenses I've ever shot with, digital or film. Not to mention color and contrast, and just plain "character". It's nice to see the new versions are still carrying the torch. Thanks for sharing.

Used to shoot a Voigtlander Vitessa back in college days. It has since given up the ghost and gone to a better place.

Could shoot track and field as fast as if it had a motor wind. One push wind and cock second push shutter release.
