Perpetual Exercise: A day in the life of... - 10-27-2005, 03:33 PM

This exercise is a little different than any other exercise found in the section. It has no end date, and members can post as many times as they like.

The idea is to document a day through your photographs. Ideally, you'd set your camera next to your bed and upon arising the next morning you'd start shooting. The next day you'd take those photos and create a "photo journal" for the previous day's events and post your results. Your photos should tell your story, so there's no need for captions unless you really need to explain a shot.

To participate, please create a new thread for each photo journal. You can post as many photos for that day, but try to keep it to a reasonable number. Please keep all dicussion of a thread within said thread.

The rules:
1. Post your photos in chronological order.
2. Max photo sizes of 500px X 500px please.
3. Photos should be keep tasteful (anything offensive will be deleted).

Try and have fun with this. Thanks as always.

Great idea... but should we limit to our night activities as well? that could be a bit weird

i may give this a try tomorrow... ive been saying i need to use my cam more...

also, may we should limit our photos to say 450x300px or so... that way we dont have a ton of 800x600 photos here documenting peoples day etc

what are u thoughts

Size limits on the photos is a good idea. As to limiting the photos to night time activities...I'll leave it to the individual. The idea is to creat a one day photo journal. You can do as many days as you'd like, but the idea is for members to get a feel of what other members lives are like.

You can document anything you want. A day trip to the city, a doctors visit, or even just hanging around the house. Anything goes...well anything tasteful goes. I will delete any posts deemed disrespectful or offensive.

exactly...

feel free to get started on one or get things lined out etc.

im gonna give this topic its own section so that people can post all of their journal photos in a new thread that they create so that people can reply to them and comment etc without everyones in the thread and getting mixmatched comments etc

Okay, lets open the floor to suggestions on the form and function of the journal entries.

I started listing a few rules in the first message and will add, subtract, and/or modify whatever is needed.

Abel, how long do you think we should take suggestions before making some fianl decisions?
