Friday and Boerne - 11-15-2005, 08:48 AM

We need more people to post these... I actually shot this on November 4 with the intention of posting it to this forum, but forgot all about them with the other stuff I had on my plate... so better late than never.....

This was the sunrise as my son went off to meet his high school bus..

I went out to the area where they are tearing down houses to make way for the Cowboys' new stadium for the paper

Packing up the car for the drive after school down to Boerne... my buddy, Mort, was all ready to go in his favorite spot. :)

Picking my daughter up from school, we hit the road immediately

After stopping for supplies, of course.. gotta have Tea.

Sunset in Waco

Finally arriving at the motel..

I think you'll be OK, they have a thin candy shell. I'm surprised you didn't know that.

Yea, big nasty news up here.. lots of complaints about eminent domain abuse and so on.. when I went up there, a few homes in the area were still holding out against all hope, but I'd say 95% have settled one way or another and are now slated to be torn down.

Of course, there are also complaints about the tax breaks that Arlington gave Jones and company... and the raising of the sales tax to 8.75%

I'm doing my "day in the life" thing today. I'm doing the entire day all the way through so I probably won't post until this evening or tomorrow.

Beautiful sky in that first shot. Wow. :)

Can't wait to see it, Jez!

That sky was something else.. everything around was that same color orange, too.. plants, buildings.. it was almost surreal.
