A day in the life of (includes needles/blood!)

The time we leave the house

Every good morning has to begin with a little Howard. OH MY!!

Our destination for the day. Baylor hospital in downtown Dallas


My home for the day every other Wednesday




Waiting room number one. We spend about 5 minutes here.


Me getting blood drawn


It doesn't matter how many times I have this done...I still hate it!


After getting my blood sucked, I meet with the doctor. Good news..everything is still shrinking. I'm kicking cancers a@#!!


Waiting room number two. Today we spent 2 hours here. It is usually filled with alot of people (who are much older than me) but I waited to take the pic until it cleared out.


This is the worst part of the day. The nurse is prepping my port to stick me with yet another needle.




My eyes look like mad cow eyes!


The chemo pump I'm hooked up to for 2-5 hours. Just as I'm falling asleep, the damn thing starts beeping like a fire alarm.

Good Luck with your battle Kelly!

This coming August 7th, I will be in remission from Hodgkin’s Lymphoma for 1 year. I too was diagnosed at a young age...27. So I know how it feels to be the youngest one around for all the doctor visits and chemo sessions.
