I remember reading an article about the next Ansels, and Butcher was one of the three featured. There was a shot of him neck deep in the Florida everglades with a gargantuan camera right in there with him. He does some impressive work.

His enlarger is rather unusual, as you might imagine given that he sells prints as large as 40"x88".

Michael Reichmann's Luminous Landscape Video Journal #14 featured "Clyde Butcher - 'Ansel Adams of the Everglades'", a collection of four videos with and about Mr. Butcher. One of the sequences is of making a print, including developing the print in very large tanks, using PVC pipe to manage the paper.

I really enjoyed those videos. But then, watching a master at work is always entertaining and informative.
