Grey Market, Imports.... - 05-19-2009, 12:06 PM

I have Nikon equipment. I stay away from gray market and imports for service reasons as Nikon will not even take money to service gray/imports.

I have the Nikon TC 1.7. I want the Nikon TC1.4. One is for sale on another forum and I want it but it is an import. Sigh......

Would you be as concerned about this on a teleconverter?

Depends on how good a deal it is. I might, as there aren't moving parts that would fail, just a matter of whether the glass in it isn't defective.

$310 shipped, insured, and paypaled. I'm thinking about it.

That would be a little of a gamble for me, but might be worth it. How much are they new?

I think that's about what the Canon 1.4x TCs go for new in the box, which is what I "need."

B&H Pricing

$469.95 for the U.S. version.

$379.95 for the Imported.
