BIG WOW, a much surprise announcement from Canon today to release firmware update enabling manual controls on the shutter speed, aperture and ISO settings in video mode.

HELL-freaking-YEAH!

I wonder one can alter the values while recording, especially the aperture parameter. Last time i checked, GH1 allowed full adjustment but must preset before recording begin.

This is very cool! I was expecting them to hold these controls back from the 5D MKII and include them in future bodies.
