But I got the only review of the M8 that anyone would need last night on Twitter from none other the John Mayer:
"@johncmayer There's still no better digital camera on the market than the Leica M8. I wish I could photograph bands on tour like Jim Marshall used to".

Nuff' said.

When I resize for web viewing my action does run a sharpening filter and I straightened two of them. Other than that, not a whole lot done. I found the JPG images to be fine the way they came out and I've never said that about a digital image (I always process the RAW file).

The B/W images do show up in color when I process the DNG file in PSCS4 which I find annoying. In Nikon Capture if you shoot in B/W then the NEF is displayed that way when editing. You can change it to color at any time but it starts out as you intended it to. Not sure if this is a DNG thing or a Leica thing.

I don't know but if this is what's possible, I'd be more than happy to find out!

And I'm with you on the glass. I have no idea how good/bad the lenses I was able to use were.
