Kodak digital camera - 07-21-2009, 10:08 PM

My sister has a Kodak EasyShare DX4530 5.0 megapixel camera.. Yea I know old as dirt...but it took very good photos till last week. She bought a new camera and dumped this one on me.

Before giving it an improper burial in the landfill I was wondering if anybody might have any tips on how to revive it.

Everything works except no viewing when the screen is set to review but it does work when viewing the menu. When you press the shutter button it takes a blank photo and the ready light blinks red till you set the mode dial to another position.

Any suggestions???

Watch for an electronics recycling event or center in your area. Don't just toss it.

As for repair, you could always take it apart yourself and see, or google the service manual. I have found quite a few for my older electronics in the past.
