Other rumors have the A500 pegged with a 12MP Exmor-R sensor and the A550 with a 15MP version. It could be an interesting week for A-mount shooters since there are a couple Sony conferences coming.

Now thats what im talking about. I would go with this one over the @380 simly due to the body style.

Sensor-based live-view is a key feature for tripod shooting; if they're smart they'll get that into the a850 as well. (If the a900 had it when released back then, I might have seriously considered jumping ship from Nikon; but live-view is a deal-breaker for me).

I do like the live view I have currently, but it isnt as sharp as my buddys D90 which is sensor-based. Although I do love how much faster mine auto focuses than his.

That's the key to the A300/330/350/380 second sensor live view. It will be interesting to see how the main sensor LV works on the A500, assuming it is real.

Agreed wholeheartedly. I spent three or four months debating between the D3x and A900. Live view was the major deciding factor.
