Call Leica U.S.A. 800-222-0118 and ask about a dealer there. Only two in Texas I know of are in Highland Park and Austin.

If you should decide to buy one Popflash is the place to go. Tony and Alex are very tight with Leica and broker alot of used Leica gear that comes with Leica warranty.

No, and if you use Popflash you don't have to worry at all. I got my M7 in May from him and it looked new.

As a general rule Leica owners don't abuse equipment and I've never heard of any problems with the M8.2.

You can find individuals selling them at L-Camera-Forum and GETdpi and RFF. I would trust them over ebay a sell with a long post history is good.

It has come to my attention the M8.2 will have had the shortest lived production of any Leica camera except for the elusive IIId.

I would second John's recommendation of Popflash as being one of the best places to go for Leica equipment at reasonable prices. If the equipment is anything other than new they will be absolutely honest about its condition.
