Then don't buy one, but some of us will.

Come on. Can we please kill these worthless replies? They are all over the forum and they don't help anyone. If you're going to state something like this, give a reason or an alternative, make it useful.

Did you even look at the images? For what this camera would be used for, the samples look very clean. I for one would love to see the same shot from an X1 and M8/M9 to gauge the quality from a Leica standard since I've shot with an M8 and have a real appreciation for the images that camera generates.

I was hoping the sample images wouldn't be good so I would not be tempted, but those are very impressive.

Damn good samples, but I'm sure they were shot by professional, still...hmm, Christmas is coming.

The sample images are OK. They don't blow me away.
If you are looking for a very good rangefinder camera, would like the
fit and finish of a Leica, and have $2000 I think this would be your only choice.

If you want images as good or better, there are less expensive compact cameras available.

But it's U-G-L-Y!

I'm liking my Pen. Even if the AF is a bit slow, it's dead smexy.

It has the classic look of the early model O Barnack cameras.

I hate the look of the "Pen" because it lacks the looks and functionally off the PEN F. Oh why no integrated EVF?

Making it even less desirable I would think.

If I'd had one of these last Friday, I wouldn't have drawn so much attention.

Those are some VERY impressive shots, many of them made under challenging lighting conditions. My one wish list for the X1 would be a zoom lens, so that one would not be limited to the one 36mm (equiv.) focal length.
