Does your built-in lens hood stay in place when in the storage position? Mine doesn't want to stay in place whenever lens is pointing down. I can't be the only one having or have had this issue. Anyone have a fix for this (other than not pointing the lens down)?

If I simply point mine down, no. If I shake it, the hood comes forward. Two comments on this; 1 - it's probably "loose" by design due to the fact that you can lock it in the extended position and 2 - I always have the hood extended when its on the camera as it helps protect the front element from damage.

Hi Doug,
I always have mine in the extended position when I'm using it. Anytime I put it back to the storage position it will come forward if I simply point it down. Always does it too when I put it back into camera bag. The dimples must have been worn off or something even though it was never used that much. I bought it used but there wasn't even scuff marks on the tripod collar mounting area.

I will live with it since it's an awesome lens, but I figured I would ask since alot of people here have it. Was hoping someone has a fix for it. Thanks!
